Welcome to healthcaremagic forum.
Stress tests are done usually to rule out cardiac diseases associated.
Echocardiogram, treadmill test,Graded exercise test or stress ECG,NUCLEAR TESTS are the usually performed tests to monitor cardiac rhythm.
Nuclear tests are usually done to detect which part of heart functions normally and which are not, area of heart with decreased blood supply etc.
I recently had a lexiscan stress test and was diagnosed with a reversible anterior wall defect. Can you explain what they mean by reversible?
Welcome to Health Care Magic
Ischemia is inability to increase the supply to meet the demand.
Reversible means, there is no permanent damage / the flow is restored – from removal of stress, collaterals, drugs and so on.
This is an indication to go for Coronary Angiography (which is the gold standard), with a view for possible intervention (stent or bypass).
