I had gastric bypass 5 yrs ago, had lower intestine repair and part of colon removed 2 yrs later. diarrhrea after bypass is normal but 5yrs out?
Most probably it could be due to infection.
Please do stool examination for cysts and ova.
If possible take antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole.
Keep drinking plenty of water.
Drink ORS solution enough to compensate your fluid loss.
If the problem continues, consult a physician or an gastroenterologist.
Hope this helps. Take care
Hi ! I am Dr Shareef answering your query. If you are eating fast and fried food frequently from outside, please avoid it. Go for regular aerobic exercises and take high fiber diet along with enough liquids. You can divide your meals into small fractions. On consultation with your family physician you can go for a proton pump inhibitor with a probiotic . Investigate yourself if no relief. Thanks.
